Panoramic Photos

These photos were stitched using PanoTools and Enblend. I used the Hugin frontend and Autopano to generate keypoints. These are all freeware/open source programs.

CQCgroup.jpg
This is the CQC Group Photo which I took in the centre of the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Cambridge. The tripod wasn't quite level, and there is a bit of parallax error due to the rotation axis not being aligned with the entrance pupil of the lens. Also, people moved in between individual photos so a bit of editing was required to paste people back together. I borrowed a friend's 300D and 18-55mm kit zoom lens. Contrast and flare isn't much to write home about, but sharpness is just about adequate.
Kingriverside.jpg
This was taken on a lovely sunny Winter's Day. The clouds were making an ominous backdrop to the shining vista of King's College, Cambridge. A few minutes later, it was snowing. Dynax 7D with 35mm/2 lens, RAW converted with Capture One LE.
StJohnsFrontQuad.jpg
This is the front court of St. John's College, Cambridge. Not such a nice day as the previous photo but still, a bit of nice sky and a passing helicopter. Dynax 7D with 24-50mm/4 lens, RAW/Capture One LE.
StJohnsNew.jpg
This is New Court of St. John's. It's Gothic Revival style harks back to the medieval roots of the ancient university. Dynax 7D with 24-50mm/4 lens, RAW/Capture One LE.
TorinoAlps.jpg
This is a panoramic stitching of photos taken on B&W film. It was a rather overcast and depressing day in Torino (Turin) but this dramatic sight appeared in the late afternoon. Dynax 7 with 50mm/1.4 lens, Ilford XP2 Super.
